Al, double check this but I think that "insulator" is just a heat transfer pad. If the bare metal back on the IC is connected to the IC's ground pin it does not need to be insulated. Some of the heat transfer white goop should do the trick. ************************************************** Jim Myers Since 1972 Telrad Electronic Services Co. The new one didn't come with an insulator. Is there a # for the insulator or can I get one anywhere? I don't have one big enough. Or can I do without and cut the ground pin off the heat sink? l Marquardt ampm@xxxxxxx Al Marquardt Electronic Repair 206 W Main Girardville Pa. 17935 **************************************************************************** * Lost Password: http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?".
