hi guys,
Yes, I saw that too. I already have the keycodes, and my install disk.
The
previous owner has a lot of stuff on here. I'm tempted to just do a
clean
install.

John,
Get a free copy of RockXP from Snapfiles and it will search-out XP Pro
for
its passwords and
product key codes for you. Then you can rebuild a password to anything
you want. If you
want some more info on this have a look at www.techtv.com they covered
this problem and
more in quite some detail.
Hope this helps.

HA! HA! Very Funny Doug!
I'll wipe it, and install 98SE first.

Hi,
I picked up a Gateway laptop at a garage sale a couple weeks ago. The
price? $3.00. I have no doubt that the seller was the original
user,
just in case anyone is wondering.
It was an easy repair, but now I am faced with forever logging in as a
guest, unless I can reset the Windows XP Pro password.

Any ideas?
