If you have an eeprom programer, change the value in address 00 to 0-F to clear the mute. If not, change the eeprom (217321) or defeat the mute circuit. If you replace the eeprom you should reprogram the tuner alignment. This is assuming the audio is muted (almost no sound). If the volume is only low you may have a bad audio component. Remember the audio level on a CTC175 never is very high. There is not an audio level adjustment in the service menu until the CTC187.
