Subject: [TechAssist] RCA P52937 PTK195M4 Intermittent bow (top and bottom)

> Hello all,
> This set has been kicking my butt for about two weeks now. Set will bow in
from top and bottom whenever the mood strikes it. If you turn the set off
and then on again, the bow is gone. When it goes out, I am missing the the
+/- 45 and +/-15 volt supply from the convergence power supply. The 23volts
is there. I have resoldered both the power supply and the amplifier
board(there are times when I tap the amplifier module the bow appears).
> Freezing neither makes the bow appear or disappear.
> I have scraped the glue from C19706 as was suggested from another post,
but no help.
> I suspect that a cap is leaking to ground, but not sure just where to
start.Could something in the amplifier module cause the +/- 45 and 15 volt
to disappear?
> Any insight or suggestions is appreciated.
