Yes, the Tchip needs data and clock to turn on drive, but if you get a high
on the pads of the clock and data that means that there more than likely
isn't a leakage problem on the bus. Next disconnect the clock and data
inputs to other chips ie... the stereo decoder, fpip, guide plus, and such
one at a time with the micro and dual regulator reconnected and try to turn
on the set. If is comes on with one of the ic's disconnected that ic is
disturbing the bus. It is a real pain but it works.

Also, with pin 3&4 connected, if I remember correctly, and the dual
regulators enable line still disconnected try to turn the set on. If is
comes on that means the data is good but the micro is shutting down due to a
disturbance on the bus. The set uses data to turn on drive but a loss of the
12v supply is what turns the drive off. TO TURN THE SET ON YOU MAY HAVE TO
FORCE IT ON WITH THE KEY BOARD: do this by going into the service mode while
the set is off. Power, menu, and vol up.
