[TechAssist] RCA MM52110 ,Odd menu

Hi.. First post..Please excuse any errors..
RCA Model #MM52110 CTC???
Odd problem with MENU display. Pressing MENU brings up missing lines with odd
characters between each line (#,!.@,#, 1/2). Normally would suspect Gemstar
problem but have not seen this symptom in previous models. Display also
flickers when menu is activated sometimes. Anyone else seen it YET???
