Forgot to mention--take the splitter out--fairly easily done (make sure to
mark the convergence centering rings incase ya bump them) and look at the
bottom for a crack--or discolored spot like its getting hot inside.  I've
had them fail with out a mark also---but crack is well known.
PS--Yes--rca still make faulty splitters
