Phil, Keep in mind, NTE's cross overs cover many different generics. A 1 amp voltage reg and 0.5 amp may both cross to the same NTE. I suggest using only RCA parts. You can waste a lot of time, if you don't. This unit had the bright screen/retrace. Found the luma-buffer Q2906 shorted (common). Calls for RCA part# 143806. I used an RCA #147665 because they both crossed to the same NTE so I thought it would work. The set also had a slight intermittant CRT arc, so I installed a 1:1 isolator in the filaments. Today, Q2906 shorted again. Is there a good heavy sub to use in this set? Phil Bader -- Jan Phyl TV Inc 3420 Recker Hwy.
