Phil,
Keep in mind, NTE's cross overs cover many different generics. A 1 amp voltage 
reg and 0.5 amp may both
cross to the same NTE.
I suggest using only RCA parts. You can waste a lot of time, if you don't.

This unit had the bright screen/retrace.
Found the luma-buffer Q2906 shorted (common).
Calls for RCA part# 143806. I used an RCA #147665 because they both
crossed to the same NTE so I thought it would work.
The set also had a slight intermittant CRT arc, so I installed a 1:1
isolator in the filaments.
Today, Q2906 shorted again.
Is there a good heavy sub to use in this set?
