You can go into the menu with the menu/power/vol+ and check the first
three parameters.
The error codes are left as decimal...
0 no errors
1 16v stby fault
3 12v run
4 run supply dip
8 T4chip XRP
9 T4chip POR Power on reset
10 F2 PIP
11 Stereo decoder POR
16 Run I2C bus latched
18 Standby I2C bus latched
there's 3 more only for Gemstar
