[TechAssist] RCA DVD RC5220P after warm, detects no disk-locks up

S/N, if needed 010518709, model RC5220P.
This unit is for a regular customer.
She says "When you place a DVD in, says disk not compatible" or it plays for
a while then stops and says 'disk not compatible'
I have not been able to catch it in the act. When I did check the status the
first time, it was at the main menu, I tried to press play and the TV
display said an error occurred, unplugging unit reset this.
Next time, after playing a while, came back to find at main menu, again, but
said no disk. I tried to press 'play' 'stop' 'eject' and got no response
from any thing. I had to unplug 'for a few minutes' and now it is playing.
Could this be simply a dirty lens?
