If it is a crt projo unit (And im almost sure it is) you have problems with the 
crts. The diagonal line sounds like a tube was removed and the yoke is on 
crooked. Probably have no vertcal deflection. It sounds like leaking coolant 
and you need to repair or replace the board where the coolant has dripped and 
the leaks taken care of (Usually tightning and installing an overflow kit or 
fashioning one from baggies will do it)
