Sounds like an obvious heater voltage problem to me, that's the only thing I know of that will cause the pix to fade out and in. ************************************************** Jim Myers Since 1972 Telrad Electronic Services Co. Slpaaing the side usually restored it. The sound was always there. Ran it here all day OK, then I looked up at it and I noticed the picture was dim, like a weak CRT. Probing around, when I depresses the main board around the middle (HOT area) I saw the brightness and clarity return, like a quick fade-in. I feel it's cold solder, but where. My solution will be to resolder most of the board, remove, scrape and reinstall the H. drive transformer, resolder L14401 at HOT base, and I understand the flyback is high failure, and heard of intermittant screen pots on them several posts,so will also figure a FLY,as they are affordable. Does this sound like a fix? Since it's a 36 inch it's worth it. Phil Bader -- Philip Bader Jan Phyl TV Inc. (estab. 1976) 3420 Recker Hwy.
