[TechAssist] RCA CC260 camcorder no zoom functions FIXED

This full size camcorder had no zoom functions, a button marked T/W was
supposed to zoom the camcorder in and out. Switches were ok, geared 'zoom'
motors read the same resistance (approx 115 ohms each) but on further
inspection I came across a crack in the lens assembly. The outside of this
lens assy has gear teeth which had become unmeshed. Luckily these motors have
a long shaft with a gear and a sort of mechanical spring type 'over running
clutch' In other words the shafts will turn but the gear will not if it meets
an obstruction. A dab of superglue here and there on lens assy restored
complete zoom functions. Craig
