If it hasn't done anything for you since 2000..why renew...so it can do more "nothing" commencing 2004..;-) -Ed- Ed Gaidies Tel-Tek Electronics Ontario-Canada Servicing the Consumer Electronic Industry since 1963 teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Hoyt's TV Sent: Sunday, February 15, 2004 9:06 AM To: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Question on Pioneer parts Tain't called nuthin in NH. You can register your business name with the Secretary of State, if you want. That is supposed to provide you some degree of protection against somebody else using the same business name. So I did, but it's not a license and not needed. Of course you can always form a corporation. That allows you to spend all kinds of time and money complying with all that corporate record keeping, payroll, stockholder meeting, director meeting minutes and tax crap, for the feds and the state. All this reminded me to go look at MY registration certificate because I remember there was something in the newspaper a few years ago about them changing the life of that glorious piece of paper from 10 years to 5 years and it seems like it's been longer than that since I renewed it. Also, to save money, the state doesn't notify us that it's time to renew. Gotta move the refrigerator, it's on the wall behind it. Just as I thought. It expired on Sept. 5th 2000. Thanks a lot guys. Now I have to make another decision. To renew or not to renew, that is the question.
