I cannot confirm I used a protected PDF to do this, but pretty sure you can
Zoom in , and use the text select tool to outline the area you want to work
with. Then choose , cut.
Open up MS paint , and select paste, then name and save the file. Make sure
you have the latest version of Adobe reader. For B-W schematics, choose
save as Monochrome bitmap format to keep the file size the smallest.

This was discussed some time back but did anyone find a solution.
On a normal PDF file using Adobe reader you can select graphic and zoom
up a peice of the schematic and print it.
PDF files with the security lock on, this will not work, you can only
print the page at normal size. Is there any way to enlarge the printout
short of having a full version of adobe print shop and the password to
to unlock the file in order to print enlarged pictures.
