If you need a remote try a Phillips universal with menu button. I noticed it may blink, and the OSD channel number would reappear when it did. I seem to have traced it to a front switch "TV-CATV Selector", for tuning model, HRC,CATV,broadcast....Every time I touched it, it blinked.Cleaning it seems to have cured it. The fold over with about 3 inches retrace was fixed by replacing vertical output : ic501 (an5521) AND AN E-CAPnext to the IC (c608?), 100UF@35v. I focused it,liiks good.BUT: no orig. remote so can not access menu for color, tint, etc. *Question: can I take the rear mirror cover off to get to the mirror for cleaning without damage? I see no warning on this 1988 set*. Phil -- Philip Bader Jan Phyl TV Inc. (estab. 1976) 3420 Recker Hwy.
