To all:
That's what I was leaning towards, and swear to god I saw it change to a
perfect picture by its self. Then inverted set and beat it senseless and
could not change it one bit. You are proudly right and the way this week is
going that is proudly what's wrong with it. Bad crt and a bad vert out Ic
with those bad surface mount chips. Just another set for the landfill.

Purity is changing with Degaussing Coil disconnected ???
Sounds like a loose shadow mask.
Does wrapping the side of the set make purity change ???
Vert. Tearing, I would look at the Yoke
