[TechAssist] Philips TV Model: 32PT81S127. Chassi: 32H800. Set will not respond to remote control.

Has anyone seen any problems with the IR sensor in this model? This set is a
year 2001 and we've not seen many of these yet.
I didn't have any tips indicating IR problems.
Can anyone help with this? Thanks. David.
