Thanks for the response.  I don`t have a H/D generator.  It is N/G with a 
convention aux input PIP though.   Did you ever get it fixed?  Yesterday I 
had an error code 17 again, but it can be reset.  This is very 
frustrating.(I guess I am getting too old for these new sets)  I have worked 
on TV`s for 50 years, but this new stuff is about to make me retire (again)
