Symptom:
(one or a combination):
Failure of Horizontal Output Transistor 7460 and/or Driver Transistor 7461
Will not start at turn on.
Will start but picture is small
Replacement 7460 may run at excessive temperature.
Cause:
Open (or partial open) capacitor 2455, a 47uF at 25 volt lytic.
Resolution:
Replace 2455 using part number 3198 025 34790

Symptom:
A small number of this chassis which do not use
E-W transistor 7400 may show a symptom of no horizontal
deflection. There will be a single line from top to bottom of
the CRT.
Cause:
Open capacitor 2462 near the horizontal output
transistor 7460. Part of the capacitor may be missing.
Resolution:
Replace using ONLY 2022 333 00084.
Also always resolder the leads of diode
6461 just to the rear of the chassis from 2462.

Symptom:
FOR IMPROVED RELIABILITY When servicing the L01.1U AC chassis
that uses 25 inch and 27 inch standard curved face CRT's always
examine capacitor 2462 located near the Base lead of the Horizontal
Output transistor 7460.
Resolution:
If 2462 is a small blue or orange part replace it with 2022 333 00084. Use
no other
part here.
Always resolder the leads of capacitor 2462 and the leads of diode
6461 just to the rear of the chassis from 2462.

Is there A Horz. kit for this Model. I have one for the 27pt5441/37 and its
p/n 4835 310 57673 but thats for the L04.1U. Can I use this kit for the
L01.1U. Set Has Shorted HOT and 7461 looks very over heated.
