This set according to customer was playing fine until they hooked up a
used direct tv receiver.After connecting the receiver (tru rf
connector,not a\v jacks) and powering tv up,the pix pulled in from the
sides,the color went bad and smoked a little.They turned it off right
away,waited for 5 min and tried again.All is ok other than pix lacking
vertical about 5in. at the bottom.They brought it in yesterday and I
checked it out (no manual) and could not see any physical damage (burned
parts).I had an extra vert.ic tda-8172and tried it but no difference.I
checked low ohm resistors and diodes and they check ok.
Does this ic use the -13v and +13v.I would like to know what res. and
diodes feed both of this voltages.Maybe the eeprom went bad.Any tips and
idea's will help. Thanks
