Jeff, From Tech Repair CD: NAP\TP3281 D7\No turn On\Flyback popped taking out Jungle IC and other stuff. Many cases include loss of H drive and others may have loss of video. There are several different versions\of this chassis* so part numbers may vary. These are the most common parts that die when the flyback takes a dump... check them all when replacing flyback (IHVT).\D7\see D7 Link in this NAP table. http://wa6ati.com/D7-DOC.pdf\\\\\\\ Jeff Dougherty Intrepid Video TV/VCR 263 S Front St Steelton PA 17113 fax...717-564-4952 www.intrepid-video.com www.tech-repair.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shoreline Electronics" <jstielau@xxxxxxxx> To: "Tech Assist" <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, October 16, 2003 4:42 PM Subject: [TechAssist] Philips 27D7 Chassis : Flyback Bad?? Make : Philips Model : TP2781 C101 Chassis : 27D7 Problem : No HV. LED flashes in groups of 5 We have done a few of these in the past and are familiar with the parts they wipeout when the flyback fails. All the typical parts that are either blown off the board or shorted test OK. I can drive the horizontal section with a Sencore HA2500 and it tests OK. We do have 130V on the collector of the horizontal output and see a brief pulse when the set tries to start. I'm fairly certain the flyback is prob bad ( surprised?)....but while I wait for one to arrive....has others seen this scenario on this chassis......bad flyback only? Drives good but breaks down under full load? ================================= Jeff Stielau Shoreline Electronics Repair 344 East Main Street Clinton,CT 06413 (860)399-1861 (860)664-3535 FAX jstielau@xxxxxxxx ================================= ***************************************************************************** Classifieds!
