As far as I know, splitter failure can cause these parts to fail.

| splitter had the usual burn on one of the leads.  I also found R705 burned
| and Q701X shorted.  This is located on the board that fits onto the

| I need the value of this resistor and a cross for the transistor.  If

| is some other reason for these parts to be bad besides the splitter being
| bad, I would appreciate any thoughts.
