Where's the Dew Sensor on this unit ???
I've searched the Mechanism/Chassis High&Low and can't find it.
I've never seen a Dew Sensor positioned anywhere but on the
Chassis(VCR,Camcorder),am I wrong on this camcorder ???
To be honest,I ordered this Dew Sensor blindly on this Repair.
MiniDV came in Flashing "Dew/Moisture Detected/Eject Tape",so I just
ordered the Dew Sensor,LSJB8181, $2 and change from Tritronics.
I was expecting an 'assembly',and that it would be obvious where it
goes(duh)..........but what I got was a Dew Sensor on ribbon cable type
material,'sticky tape' on one side to 'mount it',and tiny
solder pads to 'tack it'(solder) in circuit.
This part is smaller than my little pinky finger nail.
To make things worse,in My dis-assembly and re-assembly,more dis-assembly
and re-assembly........the unit is now working fine(no Dew detected).
Moral of the Story.......always Troubleshoot first !!!
