I am trying to do grayscale on this set but am having no luck. The pix
is greenish and if I turn down the green bias then the whites still look
greenish and the blacks and grays look purplish (blue and red). Same
thing if I turn up the blue and red guns. You would think weak blue and
red guns, but the picture tube tests good for output, tracking and life
tests on my B&K tester. I also tried adjusting the drives and it only
made the picture worse. I heard years ago that this year of Panasonic
had tubes that did go green sometimes, so maybe this is one of them.
But I should be able to use my B&K to test it, shouldn't I? Can a gun
test good but be bad? Thanks.
