Rember the A version doesn't have an actual 'A' on it it has a Dot.

We ran into this same problem a few months ago and we found out that the
STR58041A is the only one that will work in Panasonic not the plain. I hope
this helps.

I used a STR-58041 plain,no A at the end.My local dist.said that it would
work
ok.Maybe thats my problem.I have checked just about everything in the
reg.ckt.
Wonder what the difference is between the non A and the one with it?Rated
higher?
