This set has been in the shop too long and it's quite large, I really =
want
to get it going. The set will fire up ok sometimes, but usually sound =
comes
up with no high voltage.

I've downloaded the manual for this set, and have found that there is a
relay in the 140V B+ line from the power supply transformer that is not
being picked up, hence no power to the horizontal output section. The =
signal
that drives this relay is called B+ on/off and comes from the
microprocessor.

During startup, the micro pins labeled AC on/off and degauss toggle and
relays within the set click, but the B+ on/off doesn't.

All other voltages at the secondary of that transformer (-16, +24, etc) =
are
good.

I wondering whether anyone has a training manual on this set that tells =
why
B+ on/off might be blocked from working. The micro costs $42, and the =
set
will fire up now and then, so I want to avoid buying that chip if =
something
else is preventing startup.

Thanks
