Yeah, you twist the hv lead several turns while firmly pulling on it to remove it from the hv splitter... difficult to do, but it will come out. I'm not aware that these dividers are causing problems like the ctc169's and haven't seen flyback failures in these, either (though the direct view version of this chassis, ctc197, has some flyback failures).
