Barry: The way I troubleshoot that symptom after replacing the splitter is to unplug all tube HV leads from splitter. Then cut the ends of the HV leads off even, then using a very sharp knife skin the insulation back to factory specs. Then install the little rubber, Then insert one tube lead and fire set up and look for arcing in the pix, if not there do another tube lead, and check it again, and lastly do the last tube HV lead. You should see which one is arching. The new Mitsubishi PTV's are coming in with that symptom without changing the splitter. They are arching on their own. On those you have to tin the leads and reseat. Perry Bower Electric Medic "It's Cheaper to Keep Her" http://www.electricmedic.com Check out the Electronic Repair Screensaver We created. There is a small hole in the block that the wire must plug into, sometimes the wire will bend and not seat into the hole, i usually pull the plastic piece that locks the lead in place, back so i can feel the wire push into the hole, i would bet one of the leads are not seated properly.
