Hi,
Have here an RCA CTC 177 and suspect bad eeprom chip as the set will
not power on and have check all the ususal "stuff" ... standby
supplies, etc.

Question is... was there a procedure when putting in the new eeprom
where you put in a socket also and then can extract the parameters
yet from the "bad" one so as not to have to do an entire alignment?

If there is such a process, what were the steps?

Thanks,
Harlan
