John - I remember working on TV''s with the tube mounted on top (like he
ones posted in the website). I can't remember the brand.
Speaking of old I have a 1977 Panasonic in the shop. Luckily I also had
the SAMS.

Whats with all the antiques lately. A Philps older than a modular 4 and
last week Russ was fixing a Zenith that was old enough that it likely
still used tubes. They don't build them like that any more.

Al,
That was a Magnavox 25" chassis, which was produced between 1974 - 1978.
It had the motherboard which would swing back, for module servicing.
Actually a pretty good design.
