Bil is right...Trying to convert Apple to PC (Hardware) has never been just buying and adaptor. I run both Systems. I use the Apple platform (Mac) just to keep in touch with both Systems. At 72, it would be hard to convert these people to PC..but not all Seniors have dug their feet in the sand. Mando..if you send me a Photo of the original Monitor, I may have one you can have for shipping cost..I have 8 here that I picked up in the strangest places. -Ed- Tel-Tek Electronics Ontario-Canada teltek3@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bil Green Sent: Wednesday, March 10, 2004 7:30 PM To: armando guerra Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Monitor cable question If that doesn't work out consider getting a monitor on ebay -- Best regards, Bil Green 2001 TV VCR Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546 760-934-2001 mailto:tv.vcrrepair@xxxxxxxxxxx Wednesday, March 10, 2004, 4:07:50 PM, you wrote: ag> I have a good customer that is 72 yrs old.Last night ,he and his wife ag> were moving the monitor to the next room and while doing that, they ag> dropped it.He brought it in for me to check out and the crt is ag> broke. They use the computer on a daily basis so they need one. They are ag> on a fixed income. Its an apple monitor.I told him that I had 2 extra ag> monitors (used)but that they will not work on his system (apple) and ag> mine are IBM compatible. Is there any adaptor that I can buy so that he ag> can use one of my monitors on his apple computer?I told him that if I ag> could find the adaptor and if he was willing to pay for it,I would give ag> him the monitor. If anyone knows of such thing, please let me know. Thanks ag> Mando ag> Birdie's TV & Electronics ag> Casa Grande,AZ ag> PS The people at office max say they don't carry such an adaptor. ag> ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----- ag> Lost Password: ag> http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?". ag> Email Archives: ag> //www.freelists.org/archives/techassist/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----- Lost Password: http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?".
