I thought I had heard that it was not the best thing to do over a prolonged
period of time. I couldn't see any difference either. However I am putting the
.8v bias on the relay driver instead and that may not be any different, if
overriding what ever is causing the shut down is a consideration. Either way I
still have an un-answerable problem. Paul

All it does is ground one side of the relay to activate it, same as the
relay's drive transistor.

When the set powers up it shuts right back down. I have disconnected the B+
