I/C twice. plus all the caps that checked bad. When the set powers up it shuts right back down. I have disconnected the B+ plug to the HOP and it still shuts down. If I disconnect L911, which completes the primary winding on T902, it will not shut down. This seems to me that something in the primary or secondary of T902 is where the problem is. I have replaced all the caps and resistors in both primary and secondary of T901&902 that were bad and some that were not bad. The 130 volts is always there, if only for a brief moment before shut down. It seems then, that would leave something on another board that the 901 I/C supplies. I have checked all the sections that are supplied by I/C901. I have pulled each plug one at time and it makes no difference in the problem. I can not figure out why it does not shut down when L911 is disconnected. One of the supplies go to the I/C that supplies the horiz.signal so naturally no HV when disconnected. I hope this is not as confusing as it sounds. Paul Damon <damon101@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:Well here's another possibility......it may not apply to your design, but.....I found on a VZ2 chassis that the 10V supply on the Vert IC actually comes from the +12V regulator on the convergence board. It may be the cause for shutdown of the picture, while the main smps looks/runs good. Also, the same supply operates the PINCUSHION AND WIDTH IC's. I've had both those IC's go bad too. Once again the schematics are at the shop, so I'm a little blind.... Damon Brunger Telrad Electronic Services Ft Wayne, IN 46815 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Terry H."
