Mike, If the customer never uses the PIP it's best to bypass the board....it may cause more problem years from now. Here's the bypass procedure : Remove "Vp" Plug From Pip Mod.Install .01 From Pin 7 To Pin 9 Install 4.7/35-50v;Pos.To Pin 5,Neg. To Pin 11 If it's a set we have on the bench , I'll solder the 2 parts on the bottom of the chassis instead of having to remove the plug from the PIP. We do keep a VP plug all ready to go in our service kit for a quick bypass check in the field or on the bench.
