Yep, You guessed, Pip problems. Customer said set was never worked on as far
as she knows. Checked out and found C7001 replaced, probably a long time ago.
When I got the set, I found C7036 to be causing her current problem at this
time, with the main picture. Picture Ok now but PIP was over saturated with
chroma. I changed basically all the caps and now only have a blank screen for
pip (no window) after cooling several parts, I find that chilling the IC itself
makes the pip window appear but is not right (seems like it's out of sync now)
and floats around until the Ic warms back up, then back to blank screen again.
Regular pix is OK if I turn off Pip. Has anyone found this Ic to be a problem
before? Wound anyone happen to have a used one out of a junk set that I could
buy or know where I can get one for a reasonable price?
