Capable of taking a Surge.

Subject: [TechAssist] Microwave oven fuses question

I have a large convection/microwave oven that the main fuse opened due
to the fuse holder arcing from fatigue. I replaced the holder, but is it
acceptable to replace the orig. 20A ceramic body fuse with a common
glass "AGC" type 20 amp?
The glass replacement does not get warm.
