Q503 shorted again Follow up: This morning, after running all saturday morning OK, It ran good about 5 min, and all of a sudden without notice , my HOT shorted and the PS whined. Pulled plug at once. Seems only damage was ,again, the HOT. What's the history on this chassis regarding HOT damages? I find zilch in my archives! Replaced it and resoldered all over as precaution (incl. H. drive txmr). Powers up and looks good now, but on ocassion I see a definate horizontal, or HV arc thru the picture. I am thinking a condition still exists that probably took out the original HOT. What's the history on this chassis with regard to HOT failures and/or HV arcs?
