Joe, Bob, Adolph, Jeff, et. al. Thanks for the help on this one. The procedure that I had was correct but the problem was the EEPROM on the convergence module. Sorry, but I don't have part numbers on it. I had sent the module to Tri-State for rebuild. As it turns out they just changed the EEPROM and did not test whether it held memory. Danny, the tech there who does magnavox attempted to be very helpful but got little info from Philips. He sent me another EEPROM and it worked fine. The chip that he sent me was an 8K chip. The one that was in it when I got the module back from them was a 4K chip. I think they screwed up but he says either should work...sounds like they really don't know much for someone who is rebuilding the boards. This is the second time that I have had Magnavox modules that did not work from Tri-State. I think I'll stick with PTS for the maggy modules or just fix them myself. Leonard G.
