Hi,
I have this Magnavox with a 25S102 chassis that came in dead. I checked the
semi's and esr'd the electro's. I had 167 volts raw B+ and only 16 volts
out of the regulator. In checking the resistors, I found R407, open (100
ohm). I replaced it and didn't find anything else bad. I plugged the set
in and turned it on and bang, boom and smoke.
The resistor I just replaced, R407, along with Q400, Q402, Q403, Q410, R408,
and F401 all went bye bye. Previously all but R407 were good. R408 and Q410
are burned beyond recognition and I have no idea of their values.
Resistances of IC430 (STR30130) checks the same as a new one and the HOT is
not shorted.
Has anyone encountered this before and have an idea where to go from here?
I do not have a schematic on this one.
Thanks for you help,
Daryl
