Bob
that is interesting that there is 12.7 V on D832 because that is what I
measured but the print shows it should be 50 V and there is a 100 V cap, C838
on that line. Rather confusing?
As long as there is 9V on pin 28 of IC201, it will put out a horiz drive
signal to the HOT from pin 32. The problem is finding what turns that 9V on and
off. At least that is the way I see it. It still looks like something in the
design of the power supply. You might monitor that 9V supply at that pin.

The set has a STRF6656 regulator...
Paul,
At plug in D831 140.7V D832 12.7V Taken from tuner ground..But
this set is on at plug in with raster no sound no picture..When power button
is pushed picture and sound come on and voltages stay the same..Trying to
see why vcc is not removed from horiz drive at power down.. Maybe eprom??

voltages you have on D831 and D832 at plug in. I scoured the print and all
the info that the mfg gives which is not as much as we might like, and could
never find anything on the micro labeled power or anything to indicate what
the micro does when you turn the set on either remote or manually. I was
sure I would find something shorted but no luck.
