Yes, metal box in the corner rear corner of the unit. I'll try unloading the
+5 and -28 volt lines to confirm which is loading down the power supply.

JVC fired us just before that model came out and their manuals were too
expensive to buy so I just borrowed them when I needed one or crossed them
over to Zenith or, later, Philips. Does this model have the power supply in
a metal box at the left rear of the unit? Does anyone know the cross to
Zenith or Philips? I have all those manuals.
