[TechAssist] JVC MX-J50 mini system, no functions work.

Unit came in with jammed right tape mechanism. Other functions worked
fine. After repairing the tape mechanism, I no longer can eject the CD
drawers, play a tape, or get volume out of the radio. Unit powers up
and I can switch from tape to CD, for example, but nothing else is
working. I have checked and double checked all the ribbon connectors
and everything appears to be in good condition. Is there some special
reset procedure that has to be done when this unit is taken apart? I
can't see anything that I may have damaged. TIA.
