Thanks for all the replies. Most of you were correct. The driver IC on the
green CRT PCB was defective. The set is up and running.

Subject: [TechAssist] JVC AV48P575 Dead

I have a JVC, model AV48P575 that is dead. You can hear a slight thump in
the speakers when initially plugged in followed shortly thereafter by rapid
clicking of the relay. Nothing happens if the power button is depressed
again, it must be unplugged and plugged back in to repeat the process. The
horizontal output transistor is NOT shorted. I am not an ASC for JVC but I
do have the service literature. I have not dug into this one too far yet as
I have been on the road but hope to get into it deeper tomorrow. Can any JVC
gurus assist?
