I doubt if these frugal people will go for it. I already got severe
complaints about the first bill of $180 Canadian ($125 USD). Thanks for
the tip.

Check the mute line, caps or transistor on the mute line will cause a
pop
during start up if they're old.

Be sure to quote an additional $200 to resolve the audio mute
delay....or
higher.

| The original problem was a humming noise from the speakers for the
first
| 2 or 3 minutes of operation. Cure was replacing C926 1000uF @ 16
volts
| (P/S), high ESR; and C523 1uF @ 160 volts (horizontal). C926 is part
of
| the 13 and 12 volt lines, and the 12 volt line feeds the audio
circuit.
|
|
| Now sometimes the set makes a popping noise from the speakers when it
is
| turned on. Customer is very particular. Even though I have repaired
| the original complaint, he also wants this "new" problem dealt with.
It
| only happens only once every 5 times or so. He is worried that
| something else will go wrong. I ESR'ed every other cap in the P/S and
| Audio circuits with no luck. Thanks.
