Got one sitting here that kicked my butt the same way. Going home unrepaired. Finally got the power supply up to where it chirps on and off. Found the green crt shorted. Yoke went bad and overheated---cracked the crt. Of course the customer thinks that it is something real simple. Said it just had a shutdown problem when we picked it up. Of course it was stone cold dead when I got it, and my first question to him was "get hit by lightning?" Shorted protection diodes in the primary made me suspicious of this at first. BTW, when I went to remove the yoke to check it out, the green crt crumbled into pieces. I would bet the red and blue are in similar conditions. Why didn't you have this problem first---and find the solution---and be able to tell me. This was a money loser for us---for sure. On the other hand, it is the last dog in the shop from last year. Is there a silver lining?
