If this has PIP, pip caps can get leaky. Check if there is a service switch located near the Video jungle, sometimes they can go bad. There are some SBs about Horiz/Vert problems but not exactly with your symptoms....you can pull the chassis, front panel, and the CRT assy rather than taking the whole unit.....easier to handle BUT make SURE you bring 4 to 6 DIFFERENT colored permanent markers and MARK the plugs/connectors....mark the HV anodes with a I , II, III from left to right too so you know which hole the connectors go into.
