If you use the STR  version and not the Zenith original use only the ones
that have a white dot after the STR#, I have had no troubles with these.

Once got 5 bad regulators from a distributor. All five would not regulate
right. called distributor and they sent me 5 more from different batch and
problem was solved. These were the STR53041's.
