Is it getting HOT. or just decides to quit. Check the voltage on the base of
the output transistor to figure out which channel the problem is in. Then
look at solder on that channel and also try freezing the driver transistors.
Sometime a leaky driver transistor can cause this problem.

I have a Denon AVR-5800 which after a couple of seconds goes into protect.
Power outputs check ok.  Has anyone run across this type of amp before?
