I have had the output IC's intermittent U1901 and U1902 #216806/TDA2052
also replace input coupling caps c1901 and c1902 they are very small 1mfd
caps.
I just fixed my sister in-laws ctc169 for intermittent volume level and no
volume by replacing U1502 #176226 the electronic volume/balance/tone IC.
